I was fortunate to work ET3SID in March 2011 on 20M SSB and I received a QSL card in June.

Good Evening NCDXA Officers and Members:

 

As you know, I'm in Ethiopia this week working with the students at the University of Addis Ababa - School of Technology.

 

Mr. Sid May, ET3SID is the station trustee and was instrumental in getting the ET3AA license issued to the school and spends endless hours working with the students. Sid has been working with the students (no payment involved) and uses his own retirement pension to assist the kids on a day to day bases.

 

I would like to issue Sid May, ET3SID the NCDXA "DXer of the Year - 2011" award with special recognition for his youth development efforts between 2009-2011.

 

If the NCDXA officers approves this and there are no complaints from our Members, I'll have the plaque prepared and given to him at the closing meeting in Ethiopia. I think this is exactly the type of effort our club needs to be involved with and would benefit greatly.
