Ladies and Gentlemen:

NOTICE August 23rd!  MARK YOUR CALENDARS !  Todd, WB2ZAB,  and Jim, W3NRJ,
are hosting the 2014 version of the 2014 Fowlfest at the QTH of W3NRJ

The clubs will provide soft drinks and beer, as well as chicken and bags of
chips/dip.  BRING A POT LUCK SIDE DISH TO COMPLEMENT THE CHICKEN AND/OR A
DESERT.  

This year's Fowlfest will again be held at the QTH of W3NRJ on the breezy
backyard knoll...in the antenna farm and under the shade of the cherry
trees... that's in Darnestown, MD, just two miles from Gaithersburg  and 9
miles from the I-270 Darnestown/Rockville exit. The address is...

15301 Turkey Foot Road
Gaithersburg (or Darnestown MD) 20878.

>From I-270 we are out State Route 28, Darnestown Road, 2 more miles after
you cross the Quince Orchard Blvd. intersection that has a McDonalds,
Capital One Bank, and Shell gas station...coming from the direction of
Rockville and I-270 on Rt. 28. If coming from the north you can get off
I-270 onto Quince Orchard Blvd. 
and make a right on Darnestown Road. Rt. 28.
   
Turn on Turkey Foot Road OPPOSITE or across from the Presbyterian Church and
come up the hill to park on the 2nd Court to the right, Turkey Run Court. 
We are on the corner of Turkey Run Court and Turkey Foot Road.  

WATCH THE SPEED CAMERAS APPROACHING DARNESTOWN FROM ANY DIRECTION.  
OR ELSE YOU WILL GET A NOTICE FOR A $40 TICKET REGARDLESS OF WHICH STATE
YOUR LICENSE READS ! !


LAST YEAR'S ATTENDEES REMEMBER MASTER CHEF TODD'S DELICIOUS SEASONED AND
BBQed CHICKEN.  THOSE WHO DID NOT ATTEND GET A CHANCE THIS YEAR TO EAT SOME
GREAT FOWL !


This is also first call for VOLUNTEERS to help set up tables by coming at
9:30, the morning of the event while Todd and I get the fires going. 


NOTE : This year I will supply tables for 40-50, but the nursing home chairs
borrowed and used previously are NOT available this year. So BRING A FOLDING
CHAIR 
suitable for joining others at a table, or a lounge chair and tray if you
wish.  (I have some chairs for those forgetting, but not many.)


Note that Aug 24 will be the rain date. However, if we set the HOURS from
11:30 -- 2:30 for the August Saturday 23rd, we may just beat any typical 
summer late afternoon storms.
