[NCDXA] Conversation With K3LP at Visalia DX Convention

I was at the Visalia DX Convention last weekend and had an extensive
conversation with David, K3LP.  I told him that it is my feeling that NCDXA
members unanimously support his bid to become NCDXA President.  David
replied that he is ready to take charge but is awaiting formal
notification  from NCDXA before doing so.

BTW he is working with a school in his old hometown in California to get
the kids there into ham radio and brought about eight nine-year-olds and
their teacher, all of them licensed hams now, to the convention where they
received a standing ovation from the people attending the convention
banquet.  The youngest of the group, a girl no less, received the banquet
prize, an FT-817.  Great way to start her ham career.

David never runs out of steam, always busy with something...
