AUGUST 11: Email to jimw3nrj at yahoo.com indicating your attendance and confirming check is being put in mail.  AUGUST 16: All check should arrive at the QTH of W3NRJ.  Checks will be counted and decision made if quorum is available to go forward on the event.
Below is information from emails.  Again, checks please not Paypal to limit complexity.  A few checks have already arrived.

Fowlfest is at the QTH of W3NRJ 15301 Turkey Foot Road, Darnestown (or Gaithersburg) MD 20878.  Telephone 301-977-8583.  DATE: 08/27--RAIN DATE 08/28 11:30 - 3:30 pm.

Per the new status of Fowlfest as non-paid club activity here are the new instructions on how to pay in advance to confirm your attendance...

To confirm your attendance, two actions are required. You need to send an email by August 11 to jimw3nrj at yahoo.com detailing the number of people (yourself and others) you will be bringing. You also must send a non-refundable check for $13.65 on August 11 times the number of people you will be bringing. The check must be payable to James Locke and sent to James Locke W3NRJ 15301 Turkey Foot Rd. Darnestown MD 20878. All checks must be received by Tuesday August 16. WRITE YOUR EMAIL ON THE CHECK PLEASE.  ($13.65 is the price charged and check procedure used for similar events in other parts of the club...in VA...and is approximately the charge for the NW dinner at Chef Lin in Frederick including tax and tip.) 

We have always had an attendance total of 45-50 people for Fowlfest over the past few years.  Your hosts deem at lest 33 total attendees will be required for this effort. In the event that we do not receive the minimum of 33 reservations, we will not hold the Fowlfest and W3NRJ will notify you that your check is being destroyed via the email written on your check.  Thanks for following this new procedure and we look forward to FOWL and FUN at FOWLFEST !
Note this on food : Chef Todd, WB2ZAB, will prepare his delicious chicken with his top-secret basting sauce again this year.  We will also have deli side items in addition to the chicken to fill your plate, soft drinks, and water.  We welcome your DESERT AND SALAD CONTRIBUTIONS only (no chips needed).  Also, if you would like to bring your favorite beer for the cooler, that's fine also. 

W3NRJ will provide tables, but chairs are no longer available, SO BRING YOU OWN CHAIR  to sit at the table.   


Let's hope for good WX for the good eats and chats on the shaded "breezy knoll" in W3NRJ's antenna farm.  CU there !
