Guys:  I just wanted to pass on an update on Brian's condition and his new
location.

I am sending this out to some of the old timers that I have on my email
list.   I am sure I am leaving people out and please feel free to pass any
information you deem fit to anyone I am leaving out that you think should
be advised.   It is not my intention to leave anyone out but I am not in
touch with most of the new members nor do I know who in the new membership
might be interested.

Brian's daughter Katherine asked me to get the word out to his ham friends
so this is my attempt and I appreciate you filling in the gaps.



Brian had been hospitalized for the last two months and his condition has
deteriorated to the point he was put on hospice care this past week.
Friday night he was moved to the Capital Caring Hospice facility in
Arlington.   The address is 4715 15th St. N., Arlington VA.    The nearest
intersection is 15th and Buchanan Sts. in North Arlington and not far from
Virginia Hospital Center.    Room  number is 6 and bed assignment is A.
Facility phone number is (703) 525-7070.



He is under heavy pain medication and suffering from a variety of issues.
He is asleep most of the time and not really aware of his surroundings so
this is a heads up if you wish to visit  that he will probably not be awake
and even if he is he will probably not recognize you or be able to
communicate.    I was there this afternoon and while he moved a little he
did not show any awareness in the two hours I was there with his daughter.



The doctor does not think he has long as he continues to weaken and pain
medication is pretty much all that is being administered.



I just saw him last Sunday at the hospital and had been unaware of his
condition till his daughter called me.
