[NCDXA] TREASURER POSITION - Up for Election at October 21 Annual Meeting

 Fellow NCDXA Members:

I have served as NCDXA treasurer since June 2015 when I volunteered and was
elected as NCDXA Secretary-Treasurer. At the 2016 Annual Meeting, Terry
Hines, N4ZH was elected to the Secretary position and assumed those
responsibilities.



My term as Treasurer ends this year and is up for election in October.  I
have decided not to run for re-election.



As a result, I am reaching out to you, the NCDXA membership, to identify
interested individuals to fill this important position in advance of the
October 21 Annual Meeting.



As Treasurer, you will be responsible for management of NCDXA’s commercial
checking and PayPal accounts including depositing cash and checks received
for member dues and  from ARRL Third Call Area Incoming Bureau members,
disbursing funds for approved expenses, and transferring funds between
accounts. You will also keep and maintain accurate records of all
transactions and prepare financial status reports for each of the six
bi-monthly Club meetings.



I have prepared a written plan to brief anyone interested in this position.
Reporting templates have been prepared in Word and Excel to standardize and
simplify reporting.  These files and other information will be passed on as
part of the transition process. Banking activity is relatively low, driven
by Bureau deposits; the  PayPal account is mostly active during dues
collection in October. On average, I have spent 10-12 hours per year
carrying out these duties.
