The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM EST by President K3ZO. Those
present were asked to introduce themselves.

W3MMM and WA7NB, having met the requirements of membership, were welcomed
into NCDXA and were asked to give

brief bios of themselves.

Following that, general discussion ensued.

WA3DVO, having once been stationed on Midway Island, discussed operations
on this DXCC entity with WA7NB, who had

been on a DXpedition there.

W2GPS discussed his plans to move to Colorado and his search for someone
capable of doing tower and antenna work there.

KE3GK showed his new HA8KF Morse keyer paddle which he acquired from DX
Engineering and invited those present to

say what type of paddles they used.

N4ZH briefly discussed the funeral ceremony for NCDXA member Ben Baddley
W4FQT which he had attended. NCDXA

had arranged to plant a tree in remembrance of W4FQT, who had for years
been one of the more active members of NCDXA.

K5EK reported that a tornado had hit an area only ten miles from his QTH
although he suffered no damage at his place.

Since he established his residence there, Ed has also gone through three
hurricanes, and is thinking of moving further

inland so he can be closer to his son’s family.

W3LL discussed the difficulties of contest participation when most of your
antennas are out of commission, but reported

that he had managed to come out OK regardless.

W3ICM reported on his efforts to raise his DXCC total on 160 meters now
that he has been able to put up some decent

antennas and has therefore become active in DXing again after several years
of inactivity.

With the assistance of W2GPS it was decided that the next regular meeting
of NCDXA will take place online on

Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 7:00 PM Eastern time. Meanwhile, the regular
NCDXA online DX information

sessions organized by Treasurer Phil Barsky, K3EW will continue to take
place every Wednesday at 7:30 PM Eastern time.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:58 PM EST.

Respectfully submitted,

Fred Laun, K3ZO

President and Acting Secretary
