Congrats Phil. Nice work with your wire antenna.
A25RU confirmed my Tuesday CW QSO on OQRS.   He was/is an excellent op.   It was tough working him around the European wave.   I never heard him work any NA stations.   His beam was most likely pointed towards  Europe, presenting an even greater challenge because I must have been weak in his receiver.   I called above the pile. He first called W3.  I responded but he had my call wrong because he didn't have the M.  Hard to tell, but maybe he called N.  So I called again.  He got it correct.   An excellent patient operator there.
I worked JX2US on 20 CW this morning.  I got him on 40 CW a few weeks ago.   He was working Europeans, so I went above the pile and called there.  I was surprised that he found me fairly quickly after I made two or three calls.  Sometimes we get lucky.
I also worked UA9JIX on 20 SSB; and a 9K on 17 SSB, a new one on 17.  17 was very active this morning, open to SA, Europe, and the Middle East.  Many DL and G stations, including a G "bicycle mobile" who said that he pulls a small trailer full of gear with his bike.
