To all,

As I explained in a previous transmittal, the newly constituted, and soon
to be ARRL affiliated, SARG, is embarking on their initial Field Day
operation.

The club has approximately 20 newly licensed amateurs from Extra class down
to Technician class who have never been on the air, touched a rig, set up a
station , et. al. We have all been there and through our "Elmers" we
became successful on the air professionals. *SARG needs Elmers or Field Day*.
We already have W3NRJ on board, but need others to step forward. The SARG
president will be manning the GOTA station which will be primary learning
venue but all operating positions, 15, 20, 40, 80,75 with enough Elmers,
will become teaching labs as well.

SARG plans on a 3A operation from Smithsonian Environmental Research Center
in Davidsonville MD. The site is a superb level patch of land 600 X 600
Ft, grassy rise overlooking the bay. So far the following has been provided
to SARG:
- Dick WN3R, has generously donated two excellent transceivers to the
group- a fully filtered FT1000 and a fully upgraded and filtered OMNI VI.
- Al K3ZE is graciously donating essential operating accessories to the
group
- W3NRJ is loaning the wire antennas for 20-80meters from the Upper
Montgomery Hfers' inventory
- Loan of 100 ft of RG213 coax from N8IVN
- Loan of 200 ft of RG213 type Coax, grounding hardware and wiring,
operating accessories, jumpers, lamps, ropes-pulleys for antenna erection,
foot switches and wiring, tables, chairs from K3EW
- Donation from Fred W3ICM, of a memory Keyer to the group.

Please contact me off reflectors at phillipbarsky at gmail.com, 301-266-6666.
Thank you in advance for stepping forward.

73 Phil K3EW
