[NCDXA] Update on Near-term W3 Incoming QSL Bureau activities and actions

To all,

As a result of a very successful and informative brainstorming session last
evening attended by most of the Bureau Sorters, NCDXA members and
interested PVRC members, the following actions were decided upon.
 1.  A visit to the Clinton Post Office will be on Friday , 3/3/23, at 2PM.
There are two objectives for the Post Office visit
  a) To change the signatory for the post office box , from Fred Laun to
Phil Barsky, Bureau manager.  I am acting in this role until we get things
rolling and someone offers to serve as the permanent manager going forward.
The post office box rent has been paid for a year, effective December 2022.
As of this time Wa3DVO, Everett and W3KX, Jack, will be accompanying me to
the post office along with the executor of Fred's will, Roger Morales.
 b)  To retrieve all of the boxes of received QSLs and mail addressed to
the Bureau and or NCDXA.
 c)  After the post office actions, we will be visiting Fred's basement to
assess how much has to be moved out of the present location. I plan on
taking some photos of the items which must be removed. This info is needed
for the move scheduled on 3/10/23 at 10 AM. See 2 below

2. We will be assembling at Fred Laun's QTH, 5801 Huntland Road, Temple
Hills, MD 20748-3625, on 3/10/23 at 10 AM  to remove all QSL's , physical
sorting structures, and anything else having to do with the W3 Incoming QSL
Bureau or its operations. We will be leaving all of Fred's QSL collections
since they are going to be given to the YASME Foundation,, per Fred's
wishes. All items removed will be brought to the sorting operation- See 3
below. The present list of attendees K3Ew, W3UR, WA3DVO,W3DQ,WK3A, N3QE,
W3IDT, WA1T.

3. The New Location for the Bureau HQ sorting operations will be at the
offices of Wiley, Rein, ... at 2050 M Street NW.  Rich DeDonna, NN3W, has
offered up a large conference room and conference table for the operation
on Sundays.  The first meeting will occur at the office on Sunday 3/10/23
starting at 10 AM.  ( Parking is available on the streets -no cost to park)
; Tentative list of attendees: K3EW, K3LU, W3DQ, NN3W, N3WD.  If I missed
anyone, please let me know.  We could surely use more folks to step forward
to assist in the massive sorting effort which will be started, but probably
not completed, on 3/10. All PVRC members, living in the DC area are invited
as well- We would appreciate that word getting out through PVRC reflector.
