[NCDXA] Upcoming Quarterly meeting and three Informative Presentations Announcements

To all members,

This is a preliminary announcement of the Annual meeting of NCDXA-C, which
will be held at 0730 PM on Thursday October 23, 2025,. This is the meeting
where we select officers for the next two years, thank everyone for sending
in their annual dues, and present plans for DXpedition support and other
activities cogent to the membership's interests for the upcoming year. One
Director's position will be available for filling; it is presently held by
Mark Scott, K4MV. If you are interested in the position, please let me know
as soon as possible. If you are interested in assuming the secretary duties
for the group, please let me know. That position has been made much less
cumbersome due to the fact that Zoom's A/I engines produce
almost-ready-to-publish minutes of all of our meetings.

Due to  the hard work and diligence of Fred Matos W3ICM, our Programs
Chair, we have tentatively scheduled three presentations of great interest
to NCDXA Members.

1-  Briefing by Elmar, DF4GV, a member of the just completed successful
Christmas (VK9XU) and Cocos-Keelng (VK9CU) Islands DXpedition. Elmar will
present using Zoom in real time, on Saturday afternoon, our time,
September 13, 2025 at 1900Z.  This will allow Elmar to comfortably join us
during his evening hours in Germany. Please make every effort to attend
this presentation by the group which we proudly supported montarily. I will
be sending out the Zoom invitation shortly.

2-  On Thursday September 25, 2025 ( tentatively) we will be briefed and
shown a demonstration of Tim Shoppa's (N3QE) automated SSB contest system,
called TINA.  If Tim's scores weren't high enough before Tina, this
automation system will allow him to reach even greater heights. in contest
scoring.   I sure hope that the documentation Tim has created for this
system will allow others to follow in his footsteps.  This
presentation will be over Zoom, and is scheduled for 0730 pm Eastern Time.

3- A detailed briefing by the Field Director for the Enforcement Bureau of
the FCC, Mr Michael Rhodes, KD4LQS, has been tentatively scheduled for 0730
pm Eastern time, Thursday, October 9, 2025. We will be briefed on the
operation of his office and their support of the three regional field
offices around the US.  He will also be briefing us on their focus areas
which include  interference resolution, communications towers,
unauthorized operation,et.al.  We expect a lively session based upon some
unsolved interference issues present within our ranks today.

4.  Stay tuned for more announcements: We are expecting to be briefed by
Yuris, YL2GM on his very successful Marion Island Exploits, ZS8W and by the
equally successful Andaman Island DXpedition VU4AX.
