working with a school in his old hometown in California to get
the kids there into ham radio and brought about eight
nine-year-olds and their teacher, all of them licensed hams
now, to the convention where they received a standing ovation
from the people attending the convention banquet. The
youngest of the group, a girl no less, received the banquet
prize, an FT-817. Great way to start her ham career.<br>

I thought making Dave president was a done deal. The only officer
left is Rick Murphy and he should give Dave the go ahead and do what
