is to let you all know that the June meeting of the National Capitol DX
Association will take place in conjunction with the annual open house
hosted by Frank Donovan, W3LPL, as it has for the past several years,
thanks to Frank's and Phyllis's exceptional hospitality.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large">The
open house begins at around 12 noon and lasts until around 4 PM,
Saturday, June 15. This is a family-type event so spouses, significant
others and kids are all welcome. Our formal meeting will take place
somewhere between 1 and 3 PM, in coordination with PVRC, which will also
be having a meeting there. In recent years our meeting has taken place
on the north side of Frank's driveway under the trees at that location.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large">Please
bring a lawn chair along for each person in your party. Chips, bottled
water, soft drinks and beer will be provided. The lunch wagon of a
local restaurant will be on site and you can purchase a barbecue-type
lunch there.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large">Please park in the areas designated by the yellow ribbons.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large">The W3LPL antenna farm is located at
3055 Hobbs Rd in Glenwood, MD. If coming west from Baltimore or east from Frederick on I-70, take Maryland Route 97 south and turn left on McKendree Road, then right on Hobbs Road. When you arrive at what looks like the tower array of an AM broadcast station you are at W3LPL.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large">If coming north on Maryland 97 take a right on Burntwoods Road and a left on Hobbs Road.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large">From DC or Virginia or Southern Maryland, most people find that the fastest way is to take I-495 to I-95 northbound, west on Maryland Highway 32 to Burntwoods Road, then on Burntwoods to a right on Hobbs Road.
