<p style="margin:0px 0px 13.33px"><font color="#000000" face="Calibri" size="3">FOWLFEST 2019 will be held on the traditional date on the
4th Saturday in August, August 24, 2019, in the Bobwhite Pavilion in Seneca
Creek State Park in Gaithersburg, MD. It will take place from 11:30 am to 3:00
pm –rain or shine! This is the same great location as last year. </font></p>

<p style="margin:0px 0px 13.33px"><font color="#000000" face="Calibri" size="3">This event, co-sponsored by PVRC and NCDXA, is made possible
by the unselfish generosity of Fred Laun, K3ZO, longtime PVRC and NCDXA member
and current NCDXA President.<span style="margin:0px">  </span>Joel
Knoblock, W3RFC, of The RF Connection has graciously made a donation to cover
the cost of the pavilion rental and alcohol permit. </font></p>

<p style="margin:0px 0px 13.33px"><b><font face="Calibri"><font color="#000000"><font size="3">THERE IS AN IMMEDIATE
NEED FOR A FOOD COMMITTEE - 3-4 FOLKS ARE NEEDED TO STEP FORWARD TO ASSIST WITH
THE SELECTION, PROCUREMENT, PREPARATION AND SERVING OF MAIN ENTREES.<span style="margin:0px">  </span><i><span style="margin:0px"> </span>FOWLFEST <u>WILL NOT HAPPEN</u> WITHOUT THE
FORMATION OF THE FOOD COMMITTEE. BESIDE DEALING WITH OTHER LARGE FAMILY ISSUES,
YOUR ORGANIZER IS TRYING TO REBUILD AND REASSEMBLE HIS KITCHEN AFTER A WATER
LEAK CALAMITY EARLIER THIS SUMMER AND IS UNABLE TO PULL OFF FOWLFEST WITHOUT
THIS ASSISTANCE. </i></font></font></font></b></p>

<p style="margin:0px 0px 13.33px"><font color="#000000" face="Calibri" size="3">WHAT WILL BE PROVIDED –Bottled water, iced tea, lemonade,
assorted soft drinks, deli coleslaw, baked beans and potato salad, all paper
products, utensils, etc. and of course, lots of tasty barbecued chicken. (BY
popular demand the menu will also include Hotdogs and or Brats (to be decided
by food committee.)) <span style="margin:0px"> </span>A variety of chips
and dips will also be provided. You may bring your favorite non-alcoholic
beverage, wine or beer for yourself or to share.</font></p>

<p style="margin:0px 0px 13.33px"><font color="#000000" face="Calibri" size="3">APPETIZERS, SIDE DISHES AND DESSERTS WELCOME–Please bring an
appetizer, a side dish to complement barbecued chicken and ___, or a dessert to
share, serving 4-6 people. Suggestions are: raw vegetables with dip, hummus
with pita chips, corn relish, cucumber salad, pasta or macaroni salad, tossed
green salads with dressing, three-bean salad, couscous salad, brownies,
watermelon or fresh fruit salad. </font></p>

<p style="margin:0px 0px 13.33px"><font color="#000000" face="Calibri" size="3">OTHER THINGS YOU SHOULD BRING-While there is covered seating
for 50 available in the pavilion, some of it will be used as the serving bar
for holding side dishes, etc. You should consider bringing a lawn chair to sit
under the shade of the pine trees on the perimeter of the pavilion area to
spread the crowd around and encourage socializing. </font></p>

person for MD residents and $5.00 charge per person for out-of-state residents
payable in cash only at the front entrance gate.<span style="margin:0px">  </span>Maryland Park Service Golden Age cardholders
presenting their membership card at the entrance gate will enter the park
free-of-charge.</font></p>

take Exit 10, Clopper Road – West Diamond Avenue. After exiting I-270, stay in
two rightmost lanes and follow exit around Park-and-Ride to traffic signal at
end of exit ramp. Turn RIGHT onto MD-117, Clopper Road. Stay on Clopper Road
for 2 miles and six (6) traffic signals. Park entrance is on your LEFT
immediately after passing Game Preserve Road on your RIGHT.<span style="margin:0px">  </span>Turn LEFT into park and stay on main road for
0.2 miles to main entrance gate.</font></p>

<p style="margin:0px 0px 13.33px"><font face="Calibri"><font size="3"><font color="#000000"><span style="margin:0px"> </span>From points North:
>From I-270 South toward Washington, DC. Take Exit 11, Montgomery Village Avenue
–Quince Orchard Road.<span style="margin:0px">  </span>After exiting
I-270, keep RIGHT. At end of exit ramp, turn RIGHT onto MD-124 South, Quince
Orchard Road.<span style="margin:0px">  </span>Follow for two traffic
signals. At second traffic signal, turn RIGHT onto MD-117 West, Clopper Road.
Stay on Clopper Rod for approximately 1.5 miles. Park entrance will be on your
LEFT immediately after passing Game Preserve Road on your RIGHT. Turn LEFT into
park and stay on main road for 0.2 miles to main entrance gate.</font></font></font></p>

<p style="margin:0px 0px 13.33px"><font color="#000000" face="Calibri" size="3">After you go through the pay station, make the first right
turn onto the main park road.<span style="margin:0px">  </span>You will be
following this road about 1 mile or so going down a deep depression and then
climbing out. At the top of the climb, turn left and enter into the QUAIL RIDGE
area.<span style="margin:0px">  </span>The Bobwhite Pavilion is straight ahead
- park in the parking lot that you get to before the pavilion, if there are no
spots at the pavilion itself. </font></p>
