<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large">Fellow Members of NCDXA:</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large">Here is the Agenda for our regular April meeting Thursday night.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large">---------------------------------------------------------<br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large"></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large">AGENDA FOR REGULAR MEETING OF THE NATIONAL CAPITOL DX ASSOCIATION<br>                   (NCDXA)                APRIL 28, 2022<br>              <br>MEETING TO BE HELD ONLINE UTILIZING THE VIDEO CONFERENCING TOOL ZOOM<br>--------------------------------------------------------------------<br> <br><br>    Meeting Called to Order by President K3ZO<br><br>    Member Introductions<br><br><br>    Minutes of Previous Meeting  (see  below**)<br><br><br>Treasurer's Report<br><br><br>    DX and ARRL Report by Vice President N4MM<br><br>    W3 QSL Bureau Report by President K3ZO<br>    <br>    Message From New Virginia ARRL Section Manager KE4LWT<br>    <br>    Assistance to Ukrainian Amateur Radio Operators and Families<br><br>    Activity Reports by Members Present<br>    <br>    Other Business<br><br><br>Date of next meeting:  W3LPL Open House June 2022<br><br> <br>     Adjournment<br>     <br>---------------------------------------------------<br> MINUTES OF THE FEBRUARY 24 2022 MEETING OF THE<br><br>                NATIONAL CAPITOL DX ASSOCIATION<br><br><br>The regular February meeting of the National Capitol DX Association (NCDXA) was<br>held online using the video conferencing tool ZOOM.<br><br><br>Those in attendance included:<br><br><br>Everett Bollin WA3DVO<br><br>Rick Hambly W2GPS<br><br>Fred Laun K3ZO<br><br>Phil Barsky K3EW <br><br>John Kanode N4MM<br><br>Howard Sherer  AE3T<br><br>Fred Matos  W3ICM<br><br>Ron Rubin K3RON<br><br>Tom Molyneaux KE3GK<br><br>Jim Locke  W3NRJ <br><br>Rick Murphy K1MU<br><br>Ed Kuebert  K5EK<br><br>Terry Hines N4ZH<br><br>Dennis Kronenberg N8IVN<br><br>Brian Treadwell WV4V<br><br><br>The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM EST by President K3ZO. Those present<br>were asked to introduce themselves.<br><br><br>The minutes of the meeting of December  2021 had been posted online earlier and<br>were accepted without change.<br><br><br><br>Treasurer K3EW reported that the treasury stood at $5201.58 as of this meeting.<br><br><br>Vice President N4MM reported on ARRL matters. John commented that it had taken a<br>long time for ARRL HQ to produce the Minutes of  the January 2022 Board of<br>Directors (BOD) Meeting.   During the years that John had served on the BOD and<br>later as an ARRL Vice-President, the Minutes had been reported in a much more<br>timely manner.  There was some commentary to the effect that the Minutes of this<br>meeting had been very lengthy because the BOD had chosen to update the way<br>Standing Orders are handled, and in the process had reviewed and eliminated many<br>Standing Orders that were technically still in force but had long been<br>forgotten.<br><br>John and others noted with pleasure that the Sunspot Cycle 25 is continuing its<br>rise and that conditions on the higher HF bands had improved substantially as a<br>result.  Some members are looking forward to the possibility that the 6 meter<br>band may eventually open regularly for DX.<br><br>Webmaster K1MU was asked to make any comments he might wish to make about the<br>NCDXA Website. Rick reported that the site continued to operate without<br>problems. President K3ZO commended K1MU for the way he had the site and the<br>email reflector running so smoothly.<br><br>After discussion it was decided that the next regular meeting of NCDXA would<br>take place at 7:00 PM EDST on Thursday April 28  via ZOOM.<br><br>There being no further business, the formal meeting was adjourned at 7:20 PM,<br>followed by informal discussion by those present about DX matters.<br><br>Respectfully Submitted,<br><br>Alfred A. Laun, III, K3ZO<br><br>Secretary (Acting)<br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br></div></div>
