I have been to over 55 DXpeditions since 1970 and was elected to the DX Hall of Fame in 1983 and have been on top of the Mixed and SSB HR for years. This CY0S DXpedition team will likely be the last one for several years, due to the to Parks Canada strict requirements in so many areas, and the long process of getting permission and satisfying the constant changes in landing, antenna restrictions and headquarters upkeep, wildlife protection, etc. Thanks so much to our Team Leader WA4DAN Murray who has been to St. Paul and Sable many times over the past few years and knows the personnel and Canadian authorities in charge of Sable Island very well. <span style="font-size:16.0pt;font-family:"Segoe UI Emoji",sans-serif">😊

We are asking if your specific long time DX club, being so well known, could approve a donation to our CY0S effort in advance and stimulate other DX Clubs around the world to donate to help offset the ever increasing costs in recent months. Air flight costs by specific Parks Canadian approved airplane and helicopter reservations have increased so much recently along with unexpected costs in other areas dealing with special clothing, food products, sleeping attire, antenna and radio equipment finalization, all ultimately controlled by a FIXED weight amount on each flight. Team members have had to lose weight, downsize on luggage size and weight, change equipment and antenna scenarios to meet lower weight limits. Food, water and sanitary supplies have to be thoroughly assessed. <span style="font-size:16.0pt;font-family:"Segoe UI Emoji",sans-serif">✔

Fortunately, a dedicated big time DXer ham has agreed to assist our CY0S DXpedition and match any and every donation by clubs, foundations and individuals. This is SO helpful to our years of planning of our Sable trip headed up by WA4DAN, without whom we could not have succeeded in getting permission to go to Sable for our hobby related trip. No other DXpedition requests by anyone other than Murray will be considered for many years to come. Now is the time for your DX Club and your many members to work Sable Island on many band and modes. Your consideration for a pre-trip donation as a premiere DX club is why I am sending this email. Perhaps you can have a special board meeting to consider this request or bring up before your members at an upcoming meeting in February. Recently INDEXA and SEDX Club donations were extremely appreciated. <span style="font-size:16.0pt;font-family:"Segoe UI Emoji",sans-serif">😄

So, I would like to see your Club Logo on our CY0S Sponsor link very soon. The team members are shown in person with a brief description under the Team Members link. Hope to see your logo under the Sponsor link soon.
