I\'m staying with my brother in Sarasota. Some progress has been made in my condo restoration. The contractor now seems to want to move quickly for a change. I believe I may be able to reoccupy the condo by Memorial Day. Then in June my daughter in Arizona will come visit me and help me unpack. By the way Don Jones told me he helped put up a tower or antenna recently at your QTH. I commended Don for his effort to recruit and train Malawi teenagers to become hams.
\n
Yesterday, I brought my Icom 7600 to the Tampa radio club and checked it out. It survived being in post flood dampness for a month and then in my garage thereafter. Hooked it up to a club antenna and it performed normally. I am assuming my other equipment which were on tables above the flood also survived. Also, I have a 20 meter dipole in the attic which survived and other portable antennas. Of course my main DXing will be from the radio clubhouse.
\n
I\'m finally glad to give you a positive report.
\n
Brian WV4V
\n\n

\n'
