thanks for you e-mail and for your understanding of the other side of the pile-up, which is my situation. I have a lot of friends in rare countries and they also agree with this issue around duplicates. Obviously, people who chase the DX Marathon (just to give a relevant example) will never agree; they need to brainwash and convince themselves that I'm the one who is wrong and that making hundreds of duplicates is good and desirable. When I say "hundreds of duplicates", I mean it literally; there are American stations who have worked me more than 100 times; obviously, they are blacklisted on this side.
Anyway, enough for the rant. Living in a rare dxcc allows you to see the worse side of this hobby, and sometimes, that dark side is really shocking, Fred. One day I should write a book explaining what I've witnessed from here
