[NCDXA] FOWLFEST 2022 after action report

To all who attended,  Thank you for your participation and assistance.  To
those who did not attend- you missed a great event.  The particulars:

1. We had 34 Happy attendees with many XYL's partaking. The
technical/social interchanges were in abundance during the entire event.
Seeing folks from different PVRC groups,  eye to eye, and swapping
propagation, technical and operating activities, was affected by most of
the attendees. Some of the XYL's broke off into their own group  which went
on for a long time.
2- FOWLFEST 2022 was a success through the generosity of Fred K3ZO, who
footed the bill for all bought food items. Thank you for doing this again
this year Fred.
3- In addition, a special Thank you to Joel W3RFC, for paying for the
pavilion and liquor permits.
4. Special Thank you to those who brought salads, sides , desserts, ice and
ice chests
5. A special Shout out to the set up and clean up crew which included W3IDT
Bob, N4ZR Pete, KB3VQC Zory, K3YNY Rick
6. Due to lack of volunteers for the food committee, I enlisted
(drafted)Dennis, N8IVN who did me a personal favor and picked up and
delivered the main course chickens to the picnic. He couldn't attend due to
family activities.
7. On a personal note, to enable me to continue to make sure Fowlfest 2023
is as successful as FOWLFEST 2022 was,* it is imperative that 2-3
members step forward to assume leadership roles with me *especially for the
planning and execution of the food procurement, pickup and presentation.
Planning for next year's event starts in mid December with the reservation
of the Bobwhite pavilion. Please contact me on my cell .  I cannot and will
not lead the 2023 FOWLFEST effort alone.  The great time and effort put
in my XYL for this event will not be possible for 2023. Thank you in
advance to those stepping forward.
