[NCDXA] Andrews AFB Air Show This Weekend

There will be an airshow at Andrews AFB on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Sept. 16-18.

Saturday and Sunday it is open to the general public,  but since 9-11 the
procedures for getting on the base are cumbersome,  involving parking at
FedEx Field and taking shuttle buses to the base.  Waiting for the next
available shuttle can be a pain.

Since the best parts of the show are the aerial performances, my solution
has been to park at Forestville Plaza and watch  the aerial parts of the
show from there.   Forestville Plaza   is located near the intersection of
Marlboro Pike and Forestville Road in Forestville.

>From observing their practice times, my best guess is that the Air Force
Thunderbirds will perform between 3:00 and 3:30 PM Friday, Saturday and
Sunday.
