Hello DXers...
Identifying Chinese stations in Zone 23 came up in our roundtable this evening.  I provided some info, but the following clarifies it even more.
>From the CQ Magazine zone list:
Zone 23. Central Zone of Asia: JT (Mongolia), UA0Y, BY3G‑L (NeiMenggu), BY9G‑L (GanSu), BY9M‑R (NingXia), BY9S‑Z (QingHai) and BY0.

The Chinese stations don't have to begin with a BY.  I have worked many with a BG prefix as listed below.  Note that there are no calls with 4 or 5 in Zone 23.  They are in Zone 24.
On the Chinese in Zone 23, the most active stations that I have worked numerous times on the 10-20 meter bands since January are:
BG0BBB -- 6 QSOsBG0CAB  -- 3 QSOsBG9NJY  -- 4 QSOsBG9XD  --- 2 QSOs
and a few BG3's.  My N3FJP logging software identifies the zone when I enter a call sign.   I don't have to work the station to find out.
I would expect them to operate some 30, 40 and 80 meters also. I'm hoping that the gray line will result in some Q's.   But maybe short path in the winter.
