To all, I wanted to update you on the present status of the subject Bureau

1) From an outside view the bureau is owned by the NCDXA. Fred Laun
chose to run the central operation of the Bureau . He left no instructions
in his will for the future of the bureau. In his resignation letter as
president of NCDXA, he left it in the hands of the NCDXA.

2) NCDXA members and the individual letter sorters, by association, are
part of the NCDXA organization and operation. *We need to come up with a
new physical location for the bureau, a bureau lead, and a commitment from
NCDXA members and sorters, within a reasonable distance from the new
location, to assist in the operation of the central bureau.* I had gotten
some offers to help out from some of the sorters and I appreciate that.
But, first things first folks. We need a new location and a new lead. If
we do not come up with a solution to those two from within our family ,
then the directors are committed to finding a new home, perhaps in a local
area club who will commit to host, house and operate the central operation
of the bureau. If you are at all interested in taking on the lead position,
please contact me directly so we can discuss the details of a way forward

3) The executor of the will was supposed to visit the Clinton PO to see if
he couldn't retrieve the boxes on hand. We want to ensure that mail waiting
to be picked up is not sent back or discarded.

4) As of now, we plan on visiting the present location of the bureau during
the first week of March. Dave Siddall, Fred's lawyer friend, has offered to
be there to help box up the bureau for movement to its new location. I have
committed to be there and I need a commitment from three or four other
NCDXA members and/or sorters to assist in this task. Please let me know
that you are available to help.
