Please find in this thread the announcement for the NN3SI field day. Those
of you who participated and played Elmer to the newly licensed NN3Si
members, are being asked to return for a repeat performance. our efforts
were greatly appreciated. The Saturday activities did last until 11PM and I
expect that they will do the same this year. So please let me know if you
can assist again this year-there are many more members who have upgraded
their licenses over the past year.
I am attending and I believe Fred W3ICM will also be returning.
Looking forward to hearing from you

Team,
We will be having our field day event again this year. Field Day is an
amateur radio communications exercise involving operating outdoors in
austere environments. It will be on the last weekend of June on the 24th
and 25th. It is a full 24 hour Radio operating event and we will again be
camping overnight on the 24th at SERC in Edgewater, MD.
We will be setting up the towers and tent and we will run three radio
stations. Below is the planning spreadsheet:

Some things to sign up for:
1. *Friday Setup*: we need people to come out on Friday the 23rd to help
put up the towers and equipment. If you want to signup for that please put
your name on that Friday set up sign up sheet above. We will need at least
5 or 6 people to safely raise the AB-577 tower. If we do not get enough
volunteers for Friday, we will have to do setup on Saturday and this will
significantly cut into out operating time.
1. *T-Shirts*: If you want a field day T-shirt please put your name on
the sheet for that and provide your shirt size. The shirts are 15 dollars
and money will be due at the event.
1. *Overnight Camping*: If you are planning to pitch a tent and camp
overnight with us, please indicate that on the signup sheet. You need to
plan to bring with you whatever you need to survive for 24 hours outside
