Fred -

Some 160 meter receiving loops are better than others...

IMHO the best compact 160 meter receiving antenna is two short close spaced
verticals phased with a DX Engineering NCC-2 controller.

See my attached Contest University Presentation

tnx for the correction on cycle 25.

I was considering putting up a loop for 160 receiving, but now having second thoughts.

Cycle 19 !!!!!!! ??????

Aren't you about 65 years behind the times Fred?

I hate to tell you but we're now more than two years into cycle 25.

If you think 160 meters is degraded now, just wait a few years...

Tnx Frank.

I am more of a DXer than a top-band person.

I only got into top-band because of contests, but I also enjoy some occasional DX on the band, like VK6LW.

BTW, was we get into cycle 19 I noticed that goo propagation condx on top-band are becoming rare.

I checked ON4Un's book, but he said that condx should remain the same. That doesn't sound right based on some of my other readings, and my personal experience.

Hi Fred,

If you're a committed Topbamd DXer the Topband Dinner is by far the better
of the two events. If you're just a DXer, the DX dinner might be better for you.

Hello NCDXA,

I have tickets to two events at the same time...on Friday May 20.

The SWODXA DX Dinner at the Marriott, and the Top Band Dinner at the Hope Hotel.

I presume that I can sell the Top Band Dinner ticket.

Or is the Top Band Dinner event the better of the two.

Advice would be appreciated.
